DANIEL GUASH

He obtained a Ph.D. with a Doctor Europaeus mention from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2003. Moreover, at the same University, he graduated both in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Since 2001, he has been Associate Professor at the Department of Telematics Engineering (ENTEL).

Furthermore, he is a member of BAMPLA research group (Design and Evaluation of a Broadband Networks and Services). In addition, since 2005, he has been Chair of Accessibility at the UPC (CATEC).

He conducts his transversal research activities in the field of universal accessibility. Furthermore, he headed up around forty competitive and non-competitive projects on a national level. About twenty research studies on accessibility at the university have been recently published under the framework of the University and Disability Observatory (UDO), which he co-led. Furthermore, he is author of various national and international intellectual properties. Moreover, he published numerous articles in various scientific journals. In addition, he is co-editor of the international Journal of Accessibility and Design for All (JACCES). To conclude, he is an active member of Program Committees of several scientific conferences concerning the fields of ICT, Interaction and Accessibility; the effort which was recognized with various local and national awards.
