Having graduated in Law at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Josefa Torres Martínez obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid-IMADE; Master’s Degree in SME Management.

For many years, she has been associated with the ONCE Foundation, being the Director of the entity of Employment within Fundosa Social Consulting and occupying in 2002 the position of Director of the ONCE Foundation entity for Training and Employment, as well as serving as President of Asociación FSC-Discapacidad.

Furthermore, in 2010 she became the managing Director of Fundación Luis Vives.

Since 2012 she has been the Managing Director of FEACEM.

She is currently the Secretary of the Commission on Employment of CERMI (the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities). In addition, she is a member of Grupo de Trabajo de Dependencia (The Working Party on Dependence) and Grupo de Trabajo de Contratación Pública (The Working Party on Public Recruitment) of CEPES (Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy).

Since 2015, she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the ONCE Foundation.

In addition, she is a professor of the Executive Master Degree Program in Social Economy (Escuela de Negocios, EOI), as well as a visiting professor at the Master Degree Program in Social Economy (cooperatives, non-profit organisations) of Instituto Universitario de Economía Social y Cooperativa IUDESCOOP of the University of València.
