Full University Professor within the Area of Building at UPM, which pertains to the Department of Architectural Constructions and their Control, at the Escuela Técnica Superior de la Edificación de Madrid - ETSEM of UPM.

Former Vice-Chancellor of UPM Campus.

Coordinator and in charge of the two courses, Universal Accessibility and Design for All, within the Undergraduate Degree Programme "Technical Architecture", as well as "Universal Accessibility and Elimination of Architectural Barriers" within Master’s Degree Programme "Technical Architecture" (MAGE).

Member of the Technical Scientific Committee of CERMI for the implementation of the Course on Accessibility and Disability in higher education programmes.

Director of the Summer School Course of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, "Accesibilidad y Discapacidad Aplicada a la Edificación" (Applying Accessibility and Disability Standards in the Construction), from 2003 to present.

Speaker at various national and international conferences in the field of accessibility and building.

As a principal investigator, she developed her research activities related to fields such as Application of the Accessibility Standards in Building Techniques, Cultural or National Heritage, Urban Spaces and Built Environment, participating in various research projects, both on a national and international level.

In a professional arena, she is the Director of a Universal Accessibility and Design for All Consultancy. Drafting of Accessibility Projects, Diagnostic Consultancy and Adaptation Proposals for buildings under the parameters of Universal Accessibility.
