Ana Capilla Casco

Ana Capilla Casco is Director for Higher Education and Science at the Organisation of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), and Professor of International Relations at the Francisco de Vitoria University. From May 2016 to June 2018 she was head of the Verification Unit of the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madrimasd de la Comunidad de Madrid, in charge of verifying new degrees proposed by Madrid universities. Between 2011 and 2015 she was advisor to the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport and head of the international area of the General Secretariat of Universities of the Ministry. Between 2007 and 2011 she was advisor to the Minister of Education of the Government of the Community of Madrid.  

She holds a PhD cum laude in Contemporary History from the Spanish University of Distance Education (UNED). She graduated in Law, specialising in European Law, from the San Pablo CEU University in 2005 and completed the Master's Degree in Political and Administrative Studies at the College of Europe (Beethoven class of 2005-2006).
