Diploma in Social Work and degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Seville. Doctorate and official Master in Feminist Research. Master's degree in Business Management from the Chamber of Commerce of Seville. Her scientific contribution and academic activity is linked to disability, social work, social policies and gender issues.
Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Services at the University Pablo de Olavide in Seville. Specialist in functional diversity, social policies and gender issues. She has participated in numerous teaching innovation projects, the latest being one that allows the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in undergraduate classes in Social Work.

She has been Director of the Department of Social Work and Social Services at the Pablo de Olavide University (2004-2009) and Director of the Secretariat for Equality, Culture and Development Cooperation at the International University of Andalusia (UNIA)(2014-2015). She currently holds the academic position of Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pablo de Olavide University and is a member of the Green Social Work-Macrosad Chair.
She has collaborated with other Andalusian universities and other autonomous communities, as well as with public and private entities in specialized training and collaborative projects related to people with disabilities, people in situations of dependency, gender perspective and social policies.
She has participated in numerous knowledge transfer events in national and international academic, professional and research networks and other scientific activities (external evaluator of scientific journals). She is currently a trustee of the Law and Disability Foundation.
At the University she has been a member of the Social Action Committee, Scholarship Committee, Equality Committee, and Committee for students with functional diversity of the University Pablo de Olavide and has been a member of the Board of teaching and research staff and the Governing Council of the University.
