    Mª Antonia Casanova is a professor at Camilo José Cela University and director of the Instituto Superior de Promoción Educativa, Madrid. 

    Throughout her career, she has been an education inspector and has held the positions of deputy director general of Special Education and Attention to Diversity in the Ministry of Education (1996-1999) and director general of Educational Promotion of the Community of Madrid (1999-2007). She has represented Spain in the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education (1996-2001) and directed, on the Spanish side, the Educational Integration Program in Mexico (1996-2002). 

    She collaborates with different universities, national and international, in the topics she deals with as a specialist: evaluation, curriculum design, inclusive education…  She also  teaches and directs courses for managers and teachers in these same lines of work. She is a permanent contributor to professional journals, directs the "Aula Abierta" collection of Editorial La Muralla and, among his books, we can highlight: Manual de evaluación educativa, Evaluación y calidad de centros educativos, Diseño curricular e innovación educativa, La evaluación de competencias básicas, La educación que exigimos, Educación inclusiva en las aulas, Educación actual: retos y propuestas, Educación de futuro and texts for Debate and Education in Times of Virus.
