Director of Ph.D. program in Advanced Studies of Human Rights at “Bartolomé de las Casas” Institute of Human Rights. Director of journals Universitas and Red Tiempo de los Derechos. President of the Basketball Club Las Rozas, where he founded the section “Basketball and Disability”.
Furthermore, he published various books and papers on the rights of persons with disabilities, among which the following stand out: The incursion of disability on the theory of rights (2004); Human rights and disability (2006); On universal accessibility and law (2007); The impact of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Law 39/2006 of 14 December (2010); The postures of dependency with a focus on human rights (2010); Several reflections on the impact of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities under Spanish Law (2010), On ability (2012), On disability and rights (2013), The pillar of accessibility and its limits, (2016).
He conducted and participated in more than 15 research projects with focus on disability, among which the following stand out: Igualdad, No Discriminación y Discapacidad (Equality, Non-Discrimination and Disability), Community of Madrid; Delimitación, justificación y alcance del concepto de accesibilidad universal (Delimitation, justification and reaching the concept of universal accessibility), Spanish Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; Accesibilidad y no discriminación de las personas con discapacidad en el ámbito público (Accessibility and non-discrimination of persons with Disabilities within public domain) Spanish Ministry of Education and Science; El impacto que la ratificación e incorporación de la Convención Internacional sobre los derechos de las personas con discapacidad tiene en el Ordenamiento jurídico español (Impact that the ratification and incorporation of the Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities has on the Spanish system of laws), ONCE Foundation and Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation; Dis-Capacidad, In-Dependencia y Derechos Humanos (In-Capability, In-Dependence and Human Rights), Spanish Ministry of Education; Madrid sin barreras (Madrid without barriers), Community of Madrid.
