Doctoral researcher at the Universitat Autonòma de Barcelona, his research focuses on the study of educational policies that seek to raise the levels of inclusion and desegregation of the education system.

He holds a BA in Sociology (2007) from the Universidad de Artes y Ciencias Sociales (Chile), a MA in Philosophy (2009) and a MA in Social Sciences (2013), both from the Universidad de Chile. More recently, he was also a visiting scholar at the Institute of Latin American Studies, Stockholm University.

His research interests are the sociology of education, the study of educational policies and school reform processes.
