In Spain, he has been;

• Deputy Director General for the Middle East (1.999-2.002)
• Director General for International Terrorism, Non-proliferation and Disarmament Affairs (2005-2008)
• Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs from (2008 to 2010).

Subsequently, until his appointment as Ambassador-at-Large for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (2.022), he has been Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Cyprus and the Czech Republic (2.018).
