CECILIA SIMÓN RUEDA

Professor of the Interfaculty Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). She is co-coordinator of the research group "Equity, Diversity and Inclusive Education" (EQUIDEI) at the UAM.

She is a member of Catalysts for Inclusive Education (Inclusion International) and the Institute for Human Rights, Democracy, Culture of Peace and Nonviolence (DEMPOSPAZ).

She has collaborated with entities such as the Organization of Iberoamerican States for Education, Science and Culture and the European Agency for Special Needs Education and Inclusive Education.    

She has extensive experience in teaching, research and advising professionals on issues related to the development of a more inclusive education at different educational stages. Her lines of research are linked, among other aspects, to the analysis of cultures, policies and practices of schools within the framework of the right to inclusive education, and the alliance between school, family and community.

 He has participated in many national and international projects on these issues, being the PI of some of them. The results of this work have been widely disseminated in books, book chapters and articles, as well as at conferences.
