MARÍA ALICE MOUTA RIBEIRO

Graduated in Modern Languages and Literature – English and German Studies and has a post-graduation on Document Sciences, both by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto. Works at the Inclusion Office U.Porto since 1997. Participated in different events as speaker related to Disability and inclusion in Higher Education and also in different projects. Under are presented some of the work done. 

Was coordinator of the following projects: 

BAES – Biblioteca Acessível do Ensino Superior /Accessible Library for Higher Education an on-line database with accessible information produced and shared by 10 Portuguese Higher Education Institutions ( http://baes.up.pt) 
Places – Plataforma de Acessibilidade/Website for accessibility - tutorials both in text and video ( www.up.pt/places)

And participated in the following  

Member of the workgroup on Special Needs in Science, Technology in Higher Education and initiative of the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (2017) Access to the final report of this group in PT

She is also a human rights activist and an active member of the Humanist Movement since 1989. 

Areas of Interest: Accessibility, Universal design for Learning, Intercultural dialogue;  inclusion of vulnerable groups in HE settings;
